$700 Portable Air Conditioner no longer works

Purchased a unit that is supposed to be the best design, one that the company stands firmly behind, and apparently has the Good Housekeeping seal of approval, but after 10 months of use over 2 years, it now acts like a fan. Customer Service wants me to send the unit to California from Alberta, Canada. What??? I have been trying to negotiate a reasonable solution - I will pay to return the unit with a discounted shipping label, and they send me a new unit at their cost. I think that is a fair resolution. So far, no go.

Company does not honor warranty without purchase receipt which, in the case of gifts, may be impossible to obtain. Age of the unit isn't considered (example, a unit manufactured last week by definition is less than one year old but warranty will not be honored).

The company's attitude as defined by their 'customer service; representatives, seems to be if we can avoid honoring the warranty, in any way, we will. I received a Whynter UIM 155 ice maker as a Christmas gift from a friend in 2021 and it failed in July of 2022. Whynter said "we don't have a replacement part" but we will give you an offer for a new unit.

The 'offer' was within $20 of what I can buy one locally for. Beware of this company if your product needs warranty service...it doesn't exist.

My unit wont run. It blinks green 3 times then stops How do I Re set.The model is ARC123md. It is about 3 years old and I have had it in storage for 18 months. Not sure if that is why the light is blinking.

Replacement parts

Purchased Whynter Icemaker now 12 months later it requires repair. No replacement parts are available so now I own a beautiful stainless steel cabinet of no worth. the parts store request I escalate to customer service with no resolution. sorry part is not available. so much for living in an apartment that has no ice maker in the refrigerators. I have lost faith in manufacturers

Terrible Customer Service

I have a dual zone two sided wine cooler from them and one side stopped working all together.

I reached out to them for assistance and they asked me to try some things to get it going that did not work.

They then said that would offer me a discount on a new one and would calculate it and get back to me.

I waited to hear back them from with their offer, thinking this was great customer service.

But surprise, they offered me discount on a new cooler but wanted over $200 to ship it.

So it turned out that the discount was only $22.00.

I told them this was unacceptable and i needed a different resolution.

The response to that was a link and they said well check our resellers and see if they can give you a better deal.

After several contacts with them and asking them to raise this up to someone that may want to help a current customer,

they responded and said that they could not offer any better resolution.

I explained that a $22.00 discount or a response to check resellers for a better deal is not the type of customer service

i was expecting.

They really did not seem to care and said sorry that is the best we can do.

So if you want a company that stands behind their products, please choose someone else.

I know i will be looking at other companies to replace my wine cooler.

Motherboard Failed after 6 months

Our machine stopped working after 6 months of average use. I hired an appliance technician to see if it was an easy fix, he diagnosed it as the motherboard. That cost was an $80 service call. Whynter still made me jump through hoops to troubleshoot, take the machine apart, etc. Now are they are trying to make me pay for the cost of returning the product to them. It will be in excess of $100 plus the cost of proper packaging. I'd not only avoid this product, but anything made by Whynter.

I had a problem getting my wine fridge delivered. I yelled at Whynter but turns out it was the retailer's problem. Whynter customer support was nice enough to explain and help me figure out the problem. sorry and thanks.

SadI ordered my ARC-122DS from home Depot and just after 30 days of owning it, it has started leaking water all over the floor. Of course the initial assumption is that the reservoir is full, but opening both outlets on the back results in no water.

The unit gives no indication in any way that it may be malfunctioning or need to have water emptied other than it seems to leak all over the floor. Home depot's return policy doesn't allow this to be returned so I am stuck with an expensive piece of junk that is adding mold and mildew to my life instead of removing it. The carpet it has been sitting on is very wet and I had to pull it up in order to dry the floor. I am not sure how long it has been leaking but it was only noticed just after the 30-day mark when I stepped just right in the corner of the room and found the water problem.

All troubleshooting says this unit should work just fine but it does not and I am stuck with it. I am unsure if I should find a place to take it as trash or if perhaps I'll get a benefit from it as a very expensive fan. I'm starting to think I received a used defective unit or a known return because there was no warranty card in it and part of the review process for this item is to discuss whether or not the warranty was honored but obviously not if I didn't receive that option in the paperwork included. I didn't register this appliance anywhere for any warranty and it's sounding like there may have been one.

Overall, a bad experience. It was also delivered late and dinged up but we figured that responsibility belonged to the delivery company and tried not to hold it against the manufacturer.

However, it didn't help anything now that it's just another added detail to my current situation. Don't buy this.

I purchased model #BWB-2060FDS from Home Depot Rosenberg Texas 77471 on January 31/2021. Received information say it was shipped by ESTES and a tracking number. We still dont have the product. The item was suppose to arrive between Feb5-11th will call to the store. Tracking # 291340**** it says tracking information will be available once it arrived at the Estes Express Facility. Please check back soon. Now that was in February 27th. We purchased the item it was in stock. Was told to call on the 15th for availability. Today is that day we would love to have our product. Yes I have been in contact with every manager at their location. Please Help Is there one just like it that have the wood shelves for the wine area? Plus the same dimensions.

Dont know what happened. Order never arrived - seems to have been lost. I canceled the order and received a refund. Then I re-ordered another Whynter AC, this time through Amazon. It became a stuck order, couldnt track it and finally canceled the order and received a refund. I reordered another brand &;;;;;;;;;;; it arrived on time but was damaged, so I refused it and reordered again. It arrived today, it wasnt the Whynter I really wanted but at least I have a portable AC in my possession ready to be installed. This has been a nightmare, but alls well that ends well!

I have tried contacting Whynter over a dozen times sometimes holding for over 90 minutes. I then emailed the company 3 x and still No response. And when i tried another contact email, I was directed to Pissed Consumer. FYI. I chose this company cause their located in CA NOT China. I also read from their own company that they promise to resolve any issue and to just contact them. Contacting them has been completely Unsucessful and time consuming. New fridge not cooling

i recently recieved one of your glass door drink fridges. i bought it to hold medicines that need to stay at a minimum of 37 degrees. I have let it run for three days, (door closed the whole time). it has yet to drop below 38.9. most of the time it is a hair above 39 degrees. I chose this unti because it was suppose to go to 34 degrees. while the digital display says 34 that is not the case. Is there something we can do about this or do yall need to pick it up and i try to find another refrigerator thanks, adam
